Everything you perceive outside of yourself is a projection of your unconscious. Your perspective is your unconscious projection filtered through your measuring devices and subconscious filters. To change the world you’re observing, change your perspectives and perceptions. Like a movie on a blank screen, the story you’re watching is the product of you, its creator; change the story by challenging ‘why’ you’re creating it the way you’re doing, then write another version, and you’ll change what you’re experiencing. If you’re authoring a dark and terrifying story, that’s what you’re convincing yourself is real.
But, within every story you’re authoring, there are whispers and sometimes shouts that will lead you to your healing and guide you to your freedom if understood and given a response. The Unconscious is never attempting to harm you, only to guide you Home.
Pay attention to the story you’re observing, yes, but always challenge its veracity. Read the signs, know its language, and it will always lead you to where there’s a need for your attention, a need hidden deep within you.
The language of the Unconscious is myth, metaphor, archetype, and symbol; this is the language you’ll need to master to read and understand the world about you and decode the story, the story you’re projecting on the screen.
If, for example, you get a speeding ticket (a metaphor), there may be a message here to slow down; you’re racing past your fears. You need to slow down and feel them. If you’re constantly struggling but getting nowhere (the myth of Sisyphus), there’s a call here to challenge the myth and respond. Suppose you’re finding yourself continually having to come to the rescue of others (archetypal energy of the White Knight); the message here is to catch yourself and stop it. And if, for example, you find yourself with high blood pressure (‘blood,’ being a symbol for family or ‘blood’ ties), attend to the call and heal it at its source, your issues around family.
Also, pay attention to current events; they’re rich in messages and shouts. Don’t get pulled into its negativity, but step back, observe, read the Unconscious language, and use the events to address in you what needs addressing.
Everything in your reality is in your reality to help you in your pursuit of becoming more; nothing’s there to harm you unless you create or allow it to do so. Prioritize your willingness to observe your story differently. Practice catching the whispers and shouts, and learn to read the language of the Unconscious. Be conscious of events around you, but always be more aware of their hidden voices; in doing so, you can live your life deliberately and grow in its authorship.
The stories you keep telling yourself are real, are never so; they’re a series of myths, metaphors, archetypes, and symbols emerging from the Unconscious. By stepping back, and de-investing from the meaning and value and the power you’re giving them, you can discover the truth that resides at its core. And you can change the world about you.
For many, the world can be a scary place, for you, a place of opportunity and growth.
